Chad Buckendahl's Career

I am an Internet Marketer. Companies count on me to make sure they have the strongest Internet presence as possible. Whether the company’s objective is to drive impressions and traffic to ultimately increase brand awareness or their goal is to drive profitable online orders, I work with them to reach their defined objectives. My typical responsibilities encompass everything from writing marketing plans to actually executing on Internet marketing and e-commerce tactics.
My long-time friend (Chad Biggins) and I own an Internet Marketing and E-commerce Operations consulting firm in Denver, Colorado (www.2Chads.com) that provides knowledge and resources to help people and companies achieve their business dreams. Our specialty is businesses that need help building and supporting their e-commerce efforts. 2Chads Consulting offers a variety of planning and implementation services that benefits companies by immediately adding subject matter experts that have the combined skill sets in the areas of e-commerce operations and Internet marketing to help solve any problem faced by an e-commerce business. We engage in an array of tactics/programs the Internet channel has to offer, including:
Housefile E-mail |
Sending marketing communications via e-mail to an opt-in list on a strategically scheduled basis. |
Acquisition E-mail |
Partnering with a third-party to send e-mail communications that promotes your agenda. |
Super Affiliate Network |
Networks of Publishers that drive traffic and sales to partner Web sites to earn a CPA (Cost per Acquisition) commission. Some notable Super Affiliate Networks are: Azoogle, Intermark Media / Copeac, and Clickbooth. This is the single most powerful online marketing channel that exists today. |
Traditional Affiliate Network |
A Traditional Affiliate Network is different than a Super Affiliate Network in that instead of paying a CPA commission, the publishers/affiliates are paid a percentage of the total sale. While this is often a less attractive position for publishers because the payouts for each sale are not as high, there are a lot of Publishers active in this marketing channel. Examples of Traditional Affiliate Networks are: ShareASale, Commission Junction and LinkShare. |
Private Affiliate Network |
A privately held Web-based affiliate marketing network that has very few merchants participating. While this Internet marketing channel is not as scalable as the Super or Traditional Affiliate Networks, it has historically produced higher value customers. Most private affiliate programs are run on software such as DirectTrack or LinkTrust. |
Display Advertising |
Display advertising is the use of banner ads on display networks. The payment model is usually CPM (Cost per Thousand) or CPC (Cost per Click) and has powerful traffic-generating capabilities, however is often a very challenging channel achieve ROI. Some examples of Display Advertising Networks include: Advertising.com, MSN, ValueClick and Adbrite |
Coregestration / Lead Generation |
Although the Coregistration Channel has been around for some time, it really has gained creditability recently since the tracking capabilities have improved immensely. This online marketing channel produces opt-in consumers by allowing the consumer to opt-in to receiving more information about a third-party product at various Web sites dedicated to the Coregistration Marketing Channel. This channel is a little more complicated than most online marketing channels because tracking leads can be difficult but when set-up properly and conveying the proper marketing message, it can produce more higher profit margin sales than any other channel available. |
Telesales Incompletes |
When consumers visit a Web site and enter their information but do not complete the transaction, the e-commerce industry refers to this as an "Incomplete." Incomplete transactions are the foundation of this Internet marketing tactic. Each incomplete is called to be cross sold first- or third-party products and produces one of the highest conversion rates of any Internet marketing tactic. |
Telesales Order Confirmation |
Calling customers that placed orders within 24 hours of the order being processed to cross sell other products (either first- or third-party). This is the highest converting Internet marketing tactic available today but it is expensive and logistically challenging. |
Paid Search |
Buying CPC (Cost per Click) keywords on search engines. |
Organic Search |
Strategically optimizing Web sites to achieve high organic search results. Examples of vendors operating in this channel are ACE Rankings, ROI Revolution and 360Online. |
Pre-Transaction, Post-Transaction & Exit Traffic Monetization |
Monetizing the traffic that visits and exits Web sites with partners such as RevUpCommerce, iWorks, Impulse Team, Bloosky and Interlyncx. |
Auto-responder E-mail |
Automating the deployment of e-mail based on events/triggers such as order is shipped, consumer came to site but did not order, order resulted in a return, etc. This tactic is often referred to as "the money tree" for its low maintenance production of steady high-quality e-commerce orders. I have over 100 events that I have tested for profitability. |
